JUNIOR OPEN AT PENZANCE TENNIS CLUB

Over 200 Juniors from around the Country were competing last week in the biggest Junior Open Tournament in Cornwall staged at Penzance Tennis club.
Juniors from the age of 8 -18 years were competing with top players turning out as far as London to take part in this event.
Martin Coates, the tournament Manager, said: “The Junior Open is an exciting way to encourage junior competition among players of all abilities. There can be no greater incentive than to emulate players such as Andy Murray who is a fine ambassadors for British tennis.
“We were delighted to see such a wide competitive base of young tennis players competing in this tournament.”
Junior Open The grand finals took place on Friday with some fabulous weather and even better quality tennis. Penzance Tennis Club juniors did well and were in many finals but really dominated the Mini Tennis age groups.
