Great Food and Atmosphere! Open to the public!

Penzance Tennis Club is fortunate that when the splendid new clubhouse was built in 2004, provision was made for a spacious café and bar area. This venue appropriately named "The First Service Café" has proved an increasingly popular facility both for club members and the general public, who are made very welcome. In fine weather it is possible to eat or drink outside on a sunny and sheltered patio area overlooking the courts and Penlee Park.

There are few finer dining opportunities in town. Under the same management since it opened the Café prides itself on providing home-made food at affordable prices and its achievement in so doing has been recognized with a Gold Award from Cornwall Council, in its Healthy Eating campaign. The Café, which is open all year round, has a full license with a wide range of drinks at very competitive prices.

If you are on a low fat diet there are several suitable dishes on the menu and the special board, plus an option of low fat dressing for salads. Please ask if you require guidance on this. Children's portions are available on some items at half the marked price. Where ever possible we use local produce from local suppliers in our home made dishes.
